Shine with a Purpose Benefits Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center

Sunshine Cleaning Systems provided Free disinfecting services

(South Florida) – The Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center, a United Way agency that provides a hub of social, educational and recreational activities for seniors in the North West Broward area, was the most recent beneficiary of the Shine with a Purpose program. In partnership with United Way of Broward County, Sunshine Cleaning Systems, LLC. provides essential disinfecting services to deserving charities in Broward County.

The Kurt and Alice Walter Adult Day Care Pavilion at the Cantor Center houses the Adult Day Care/Alzheimer’s Respite Programs, which provide a structured, safe environment for physically and mentally challenged seniors.

“We are immensely grateful to Sunshine for this gift of cleanliness and extra safety for the fragile people we serve,” said Gail Weisberg, Cantor Center Executive Director.

Since its inception in August 2021, Shine with a Purpose has benefited the following charities: Light of the World Clinic, Jack & Jill Center, FLITE, LifeNet4Families, Women in Distress, United Way of Broward County, and Arc Broward.

Shine with a Purpose has been a blessing to our company, as we’ve had the chance to tour and learn about so many important organizations in our community,” said Derek Auckland, Florida Operations Manager at Sunshine Cleaning Systems, LLC. “We’ve been honored to be able to give back to the community where our company was founded and has grown over the past 46 years.”

Daniel D. Cantor Center provides a wide variety of daily activities and programs for each stage of senior development. From educational guidance to recreational activities, the Center’s staff strives to help members leave each day feeling fulfilled. The Living Room is designed especially for participants who are less independent but not yet ready for Adult Day Care. The Adult Day Care program provides failure-free programming designed to raise the self-esteem of the  dementia participant while providing respite for the Caregiver.
