Sunshine Cleaning Systems Announces that Program Will Continue

(South Florida) –Shine with a Purpose launched in 2021 as part of Sunshine Cleaning Systems’s 45th Anniversary celebration. Since then, the partnership with United Way of Broward County has provided essential disinfecting services to Light of the World Clinic, Jack & Jill Center, FLITE, LifeNet4Families and Women in Distress.

The anniversary celebration culminated with free disinfecting at United Way of Broward County’s Ansin Building and the Mission United Colker Center, totaling more than 35,000 square feet. The volunteer driven, community-based, nonprofit organization has serviced Broward County for more than 80 years. Sunshine, a woman-owned company providing commercial and residential janitorial services throughout Florida and North Carolina, is based in Oakland Park.

Derek Auckland, Florida Operations Manager at Sunshine Cleaning Systems, LLC., announced that Shine with a Purpose has been so successful that the company has decided to continue the program beyond the anniversary.

“We have seen firsthand the need and the gratitude among worthwhile charities in our community and are pleased to be able to continue Shine with a Purpose,” he said.

As a partner in this endeavor, United Way of Broward County President & CEO Kathleen Cannon added that her agency is proud to be part of this valuable program. “It seems so simple,” she said, “yet, providing disinfecting services during the pandemic and beyond has meant a great deal to us and the charities we support. We are thrilled that this valuable service will continue in our community.”
