Sunshine Cleaning Systems adds City of Delray Beach as Customer – Municipality Division Continues to Grow

(Fort Lauderdale, Florida) – Sunshine Cleaning Systems (sunclean.com), a privately-held integrated cleaning company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale since 1976, recently signed a contract to provide commercial cleaning services to the City of Delray Beach, adding to its growing roster of municipality customers.

During 2020, the company also added the Cities of Pompano Beach and Tamarac, as well as the expansion of a 23-year contract with the City of West Palm Beach. Sunshine currently provides janitorial services to Manatee County and the Broward County main library and government center in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Sunshine also recently announced that the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport renewed its contract for the 34th consecutive year by signing a new three-year contract with two, one-year extensions. The company’s clients range from private and public schools and universities to restaurants, retailers, offices and athletic facilities.

Michael Woodson, who handles sales to municipalities throughout Florida, sees this area continuing to expand throughout Florida, especially in light of greater demand for disinfecting services related to virus prevention.

To better accommodate these new requests, according to Woodson, members of the Sunshine team have completed a rigorous certification process created by the worldwide cleaning industry association (ISSA), the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) (www.gbac.org).

“GBAC offers training certifications to cleaning professionals as well as an accreditation for facilities,” he explained. “GBAC STAR™ Accreditation is growing as the seal of approval for facilities following strict cleaning and disinfection procedures for handling infectious disease outbreaks.”

He said that Sunshine teams conduct a four-step cleaning and disinfecting treatment for facilities.  “We provide our customers comfort in knowing that bacteria and viruses are removed, and the environment is cleaner and safer,” he said, adding that a deep cleaning process is followed by a disinfecting treatment using an electrostatic sprayer.”

“COVID-19 has made cleaning our facilities more important than ever,” said Joe Frantz, Deputy Director, Public Works, City of Delray Beach. “We feel comfortable knowing that the Sunshine team will work hard to help keep our staff members and visitors as safe as possible.”
