Sunshine Cleaning Systems Helps Businesses Prepare to Reopen Announces Two New Municipal Contracts

(Fort Lauderdale, Florida) – Sunshine Cleaning Systems (sunclean.com), a privately-held integrated cleaning company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale since 1976, is seeing a spike in requests from businesses for deep cleaning and disinfecting services in preparation for a gradual return to full or partial operations in the coming weeks.  In addition, the company has been expanding its janitorial services to local municipalities throughout Florida over the past several months.

Since its inception, Sunshine Cleaning has helped keep a wide variety of both private and commercial facilities clean, including municipal buildings.  Recently, it added two new contracts, with the Cities of Pompano Beach and Tamarac. A 23-year contract with the City of West Palm Beach was recently expanded and in October 2018 Manatee County was added to the Sunshine client roster. Sunshine Cleaning also handles cleaning services for the Broward County main library and government center in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Additional clients range from daycare centers, public schools and universities to restaurants, retailers, offices, and athletic facilities.

Michael Woodson, who handles sales to municipalities throughout Florida, explains that this area of the business was growing even before the COVID-19 crisis.  Today, businesses of all sizes are now leaning on Sunshine Cleaning to ensure their facilities are disinfected and even cleaner for employees and patrons.

“Our four-step cleaning and disinfecting treatment gives our customers comfort in knowing that bacteria and viruses are removed, and the environment is cleaner and safer,” he said, explaining that a deep cleaning process is followed by a disinfecting treatment using an electrostatic sprayer. The electrically charged particles safely adhere to all surfaces, plus remove odors. “Sunshine Cleaning has a long history in this area with clients who can attest to our outstanding customer service and laser focus on cleanliness.”

For each city, Sunshine Cleaning handles a wide variety of facilities, ranging from government offices and police stations to beachside bathrooms. Woodson says maintaining these long-term relationships goes beyond simply keeping the buildings clean.  On-going and open communication with front line representatives at each location is critical to delivering customer satisfaction.

“We’ve relied on Sunshine Cleaning even more to make sure all public facilities are absolutely as clean as possible and fully disinfected,” said City of Pompano Beach Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager George Buenaventura, CCM, FMP.  “Their responsiveness and thoroughness on the job are extraordinary.”

Sunshine Cleaning has maintained a fully staffed and highly trained team in order to handle this increase in demand for COVID cleaning and disinfecting.
