South Florida – Sunshine Cleaning Systems Chief Operations Officer Randy Kierce recently announced the promotion of Derek Auckland to Florida Operations Manager. An employee of the Fort Lauderdale-based company for nearly 10 years, Auckland now oversees all statewide service departments, including janitorial, window and pressure cleaning, and specialty services. For the previous five years, he served as Regional Sales and Quality Controller for Sunshine.
“Derek has proven to be a superb leader and project manager throughout his career at Sunshine,” said Kierce. “His wide range of talents, knowledge of operations, experience in the business and keen attention to the needs of customers will continue to benefit Sunshine.”
Auckland earned certification from the worldwide cleaning industry association (ISSA)’s Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) for handling infectious disease outbreaks, including coronavirus strains such as COVID-19. He also serves on the board of directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
