Vote in Person Safely: Sunshine Cleaning Systems to Keep Voting Booths Clean on Election Day

(Fort Lauderdale, Florida) – The Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office has contracted with Fort Lauderdale-based Sunshine Cleaning Systems, a family-owned commercial and residential cleaning and disinfecting company in 1976, to ensure that the voting booths at 21 locations are constantly cleaned throughout the day. Sunshine team members will be stationed at each location from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 3, 2020. They will clean each booth as well as any other high touch areas after each use.

“We are honored to be able to play such a vital role in helping to provide comfort to people who want to vote in person,” said Randy Kierce, Sunshine’s Chief Operations Officer. “Working with the Broward County staff to keep these polling locations safe for voters is a privilege for our team.”

Sunshine Cleaning Systems was founded in 1976 by Larry Calufetti, who passed away in 2016. He started the company as a window cleaning service, but quickly expanded to include a wide range of other commercial janitorial services.
